European Budo Games, 2008 Germany

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5th-7th of September 2008 the third European Budo Games took place in Immenhausen near Kassel, in Germany. The host of the event was president of European Budo Council, Peter Rosendahl sensei, assisted by Mayor of Immenhausen and EBC officials from Germany and Sweden. There were following countries represented on these games: Germany, Sweden, Serbia, Czech Republic, Croatia, England, Scotland, Italy, Spain, Romania, India and USA. Games have gathered near 300 participants, including an impressive list of high ranked sensei. Beside international seminar, Budo Games included large competition in several disciplines. Serbian Team was amongst the larges teams on these games, with 21 contestant. These representatives came from Serbian Budo Council's clubs from Pozarevac, Petrovac, Vlaski Do, Sabac, Smederevo and Vrsac. Serbian competitors won 42 medals. Four out of five members of Serbian Budo Council's Board of Management also competed on this event: Asrijana Barsi, Ivica Zdravkovic, Milan Vujasin and Srdjan Ilic - all won medals in their disciplines.
